After his schooling days, Tojo became very esteemed within his rakings in the government. In 1937 he was named chief of staff of the Kwantung Army in Manchuria, after this he was appointed Chief of War under the Prime Minister. In 1941, Tojo rose up the rakings even higher to become the Prime Minister.
